Destination Space Album 2008

Heard this music? Indeed it takes one in space……Interestingly, it is the creation of 80 year old Jean-Jacques Perrey in partnership with Dana Countryman. This latest album called the “Destination Space” for Oglio Records. will hit the stores in September, 2008.

Destination Space features tape loops and Moog-filled melody lines. Jean-Jacques Perrey is indeed a legend of electronic pop music. This is his 22nd album. Seems like he is unstoppable!

The names of the tracks seem funky. Still there is an unusual appeal in them. Once you hear them, you want to listen again. Perrey is widely popular among teens. It won’t be a surprise to know that The Beatles picked one of his tunes for one of their Christmas recordings!

Perrey used artificial voices to create an effect of Carpenters meet the ELO in the space. He will perform live with Dana Countryman on Oct 1, 2008. For details visit Perry’s website
